Go to Trend Micro Housecall for an online scan and have it cleaned first. You'll also find out which one it is.

Do you have a name for this virus?

Follow Carol's advice, and run an online scan.

Your antivirus software, providing its worth its salt, and if frequently updated, should most certainly have protected you.

Something else: after running House Call, download Exefix.com from this site: http://home.earthlink.net/~rmbox/Reticulated/Only_IE.html

Doubleclick it, and it will restore the default Windows file associations for exefiles.
