Dear Friends,
does anybody know the windows file name (dll, exe etc.) in which this string is located:
"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."
Can we edit it using a hex editor?
if so, pls let me know asap.
regards,

Looking at shell32.dll version 4.72.3110.6 as found in the Win98 folder. The newer version may locate it elsewhere?
Using Resource Hacker I find the String Table located within 609 from where you can modify the string.

Aries, I not sure but it sounds like you have an administration polocy on your windows operation. You might try looking for the file poledit.exe in your windows directory to see if that file exists. If so, you can open it and change what ever restictions are set for what ever program you are trying to use.
