Has anyone ever experienced this problem? When attempting to SAVE an image, webpage, etc, the SAVE AS window appears but the "My Documents Folder" is NOT listed in drive "C"
In addition, when using OE and attempting to insert something (image) the same problem occurs...NO My Documents Folder.
At times, the SAVE AS windows opens up and the directory lists My Documents, but if I go up one level, then attempt to save in My Documetns, again there is NO "My Documents Folder"

I believe this might be a regestry issue - of course if I knew, I wouldn't be asking for your help.

Thank you....

Try this. Go to start >run and Paste in this command. then press enter:
regsvr32 mydocs.dll

This will restore the registry entries for My Documents. You should receive a message that it succeeded.
See if things work now.

If not, copy and paste this cmmand into Start>run and press enter:
rundll32 mydocs.dll,RestoreMyDocsFolder

Guru,
Thank you for the solution and fixing my problem!

The folder is now available...but...it doesn't list in "alpha" order...it lists at the end of "C"...any suggestions?

Thanks again....I'm very impressed with your knowledge.

You're welcome.

Open C:\ and right click. Choose "Arrange Icons> by Type" on the pop up menu. Does that do it?

No, that doesn't work long term.

After changing drive C to "type" this had no effect. I was able to change the order from the save as window by arranging by "name" but this does not keep the folder in order.

You've spent too much time on this so I'll just be happy with being able to access the folder...I can live with the non-alpha sort.

Thank you again......

You can try this. After arranging a Folder as you like it, Hold the Ctrl Button down while closing it. That will make the setting stick for all other folders until you change them individually.
