My Lexmark X73 Scanner/Printer. Quit suddenly. It points to hardware. Since there seems to be no easy way to test a USB device with DOS, I need some way of checking out the USB port to see if USB or X73 is at fault. It doesn't even work on 'local' copy but I think the local functions also go through the PC. Re-installing drivers was no help. Lexmark's support is of little help. Are their any diagnostics which will check out USB path?
I did find in my Bios Setup an entry to 'Enable USB for DOS'. I enabled it but don't know how to access it.
"DIR > USB" did nothing.
