Hi There! /images/forums/icons/wink.gif I understand the registry is stored in system.dat & user.dat, now I read about a bloated registry how can you tell what size these files are when un-bloated. My files are sytem.dat 3.78mb user.dat 1.17mb, I dont have lots of programs! a few but not too many but I've probably got some left overs from uninstalled programs etc even though I've weeded out plenty of junk. Win98SE >< Thanks in Advance ><

A system.dat of under 4 MB is really quite small.

Common knowledge has it that problems often start arising at aroud 9 MB, so no reason to worry.

Cheers, Tony
