Question #1 How can I remove the welcome to windows folder from my system! Question#2 I will copy to a file the content of my win98se and remove much as possible of all the unnecessary junk, welcome to windows the web links (and msn if possible) just the bare minimum, so that I can install it from command prompt. And after the "purification" I'll burn the damn thing, what is the max that I can liberate from the win98se CD, before I do the burn. And now the something is wrong here question:when I want to make a boot disk from A\R windows ask me to insert the win98 disk and only when I do so I'm able to make a boot disk! your retort will be appreciated a billion times! thanks again

The reason you are asked for the Windows CD is for the process to gather any files that may not be on the hard drive.

A lot of the 'brands' will copy the .cab files to the C:\Windows\Options\Cabs folder so when installing new hardware such as printers, the CD is not required, therefore the CD may not be asked for.

We all, each of us, have a uniqueness, some of us enjoy it, some of us don't.
