Hi Everyone!
Has anyone got this problem that I just noticed I open the Find Files or Folders Utility Win98SE & do a "Find" (anything will do *.tmp ) in C:\ Drive. Then after the search has finished click the "New Search" button click OK to the message This will clear your current search.
Now here's the problem my Find Utility "Look in" Box changes from C:\ to "Document Folders" /images/forums/icons/mad.gif & I don't know why it does this, maybe all Win98 \SE do this. . Can anyone confirm this please, I kind of think its not normal, maybe there is a fix for this. . . . Any help appreciated, Thanks in Advance

Mine does the same. In the list of drives, My Documents is at the very top of the list. Actually, that is pretty good, gives me a list of ALL the places to start the search at. Sometimes it will start in the same place you last had open.

We all, each of us, have a uniqueness, some of us enjoy it, some of us don't.

Instead of clicking New Search, backspace on you old search query and replace it with the new one. Everything else will stay the same.
What you are describing is the way my computer does it too.

Sometimes "the nature of the beast" is hard to overcome.

Hally,
If you want to search for multiple files, you can do that too. By separating the file names with a comma.
