When Spyware Doctor is running, I get an error every time I open a Word document. The Word error dialog reports that "The command cannot be performed because a dialog box is open". When I click OK, Word continues and loads the doc properly. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Thanks

If you disable Spyware Doctor, do you still receive this message?

Try disabling processguard to see if this helps.

I have the same problem with word 2003!
And disabling the process guard doesn't work... What should I do?

Try turning OnGuard off to see if its any of the tools causing this problem.

You can also try uninstalling SD and re-installing in safemode to avoid any potential conflicts during the installation process.

when i turn OnGuard off, it doesn't change anything. But when i disable SD, then a doc on word 2003 does open normally.
You suggested to reinstall SD in safemode: what do you mean exactly by "safemode"?

Hi Chris,

To restart in safe mode try this method:

1. Click on the Start button.
2. Click ''Shut Down'' from the menu (''Turn off Computer'' in XP).
The 'Shut Down Windows' dialog box will appear.
3. Select or Click "Restart" from the dialog box.
4. When the computer starts back up, immediately press the F8 key repeatedly until the Windows Startup menu appears with various options.
5. Using the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard, select 'Safe Mode'.
6. Login to your account (if asked).
7. Wait and eventually Windows will start in Safe Mode.

Cheers,
