Hey All
I have a re-occurring problem here at the company. I have found a solution to fix it, but I would still like to know why it is happening.
Basically the users get and error inside Internet Explorer, when the script tries to access a record set.
” Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal."
The way to remove this error is to delete the following Registry Setting.
\HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\International\cpMRU – REG_BINARY – cache
It is a MostRecentlyUsed Key, but i don't know what the cp could stand for.
The point of most interest is that the binary value it contains is what is causing the error. When I change this value to the same value as a working user/machine it works fine.
Also this value is DYNAMIC it always changes. When I change the value back the problem will re-occur again a few days later (Maybe other webapp they are using)
Our SOE is Windows NT 4.0 SP6a running IE 5,50,4522,1800.
Does anyone here know what this key is responsible for, I can't seem to find anything online about it.
Cheers
