Losing IE and mail (WXP)

My Win XP PC loses connectivity to the internet after an hour or two. I have three PC all connect to my one internet connection. All three PC connect fine and I obtain IP address for all three, after two to three hours I lose my abilty to go to web address and get my mail, but my MSN instant message will continue to look like it is working. I keep getting pop-ups from the MSN Messagers that I have new mail. My Yahoo messager seems to die with my web. Thi only happens with my XP PC. I am still connected with the other two PC fine. My XP stills shows that I am connected to my ISP and still has a IP address from my ISP. I tried to just connect the XP unit by itself and get the same results. I coonect with a different NIC and the same results. If I reboot the XP unit I get on for a few hours and thesame thing happens again. Can anyone help?

Has it ever worked on your XP before?
Check if you uncheck firewall protection from XP internet option.

Yes it worked on XP for about 6 months now. I when through uninstalled some apps that I installed in the past three months and I seem to be on the internet for the past three hours without a problem. If I was still having issues it would have kicked me off by now. I think I am all set, but I should not talk to soon. Got to love Microsoft it builds character.
