I am using OE 5.5. When I send an e-mail to a group is there a way to have just the group name showing in the "To" header rather than all the individual addresses as well?

philkiwi,

To do what you want, use BCC: (Blind Carbon Copy) instead of To: in the Header section of your message. If BCC isn't showing below CC:, click on View and put a check mark beside All Headers.

BCC: won't show either names or email addresses to any of the recipients. If they use Control F3, to view the Message Source, all they will see is Undisclosed Recipient in the To: area.

If you must have something written in the To: area, you could put the group name there. Just use your own email address as the Group Address, the email will come back to you and you haven't given out anyone else's address.

Does this accomplish what you want?
