I cannot change my screen saver on my work laptop.
I believe the setting has been specified in the registry.
I have looked for the key called 'NoDispScrSavPage' but cannot find one called this.
Please help.

To change the default screen saver, start a Registry editor (regedit.exe) and go to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop. Double-click ScreenSaveActive and set the value to 1. Then, double-click scrnsave.exe and set the screen saver name (e.g., black16.scr). Double-click ScreenSaveTimeOut and set the number of seconds (e.g., 600 seconds for 10 minutes).

I have set SCRNSAVE.EXE to my desired screen saver - but it still doesnt come up.
I still get the company default setting of logon.scr
When i open properties from the desktop the screen saver drop down box is greyed out (unchangeable).
Any ideas ?
p.s thanks dredarc

A couple of issues. What type of OS...95?
Has the administrator set up policies on the system so it can't be changed?
Can you get to a command prompt?
If so u can rename logon.scr to logon.orig then rename the one you want to use to logon.scr
Sounds like policies are stopping u from changing the settings though.
