As with green_geek, back on 4-23, I have purchased a used computer that came with lots of goodies and no disks. Unfortunately, it also came with two internet watch programs- S4F and cybersitter. After much interrogation and hassle, the S4F people let me get it out, but no such luck with the cybersitter program. I've tried to disable it by changing the value to 0 instead of 1 with regedit, but it won't stay changed. I tried to restore the old registry, but it won't allow that either. I tried to make the changes in safe mode, but when I reboot to go back to normal mode, it resets to where it was before. I'm giving the computer to my son, so the cybersitter doesn't bother me, but you can't check e-mail or anything that needs a password with the thing running. I really don't want to lose all the games and programs on the computer, so can anyone offer any advice. It seems to me that green_geek must have given up, as the thread ended with his problem unresolved. thanks
