If I delete a performance sub-key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\<service name>:\Performance
will it cause any major problems? I am recieving Application Log Event 1008/PerfLib every few seconds. Searched EventID.net, but no solutions work. If Performance Monitor data is not necessary, then I am hoping that deleting the performance subkeys will get rid of the errors.
