To whom it may concern:
I'm tried getting my computer to PowerdownAfterShutdown.
I followed the procedure the web page instructed:
Start, Run, typed "regedit" Entered.
I followed the Registry Setting and opened these
System Keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\microsoft\WindowsNT\Cu rrentVerison\Winlogon
Opened Winlogon and changed the Value Data from
"0" to "1" just as instructed.
First, I restart and powerdown only Windows
shutdown but the system (computer) itseft stayed
on.
Question: What else can I do to have the computer
powerdown along with Windows.

if i am not mistaken some computers do not support that, some of the older models have that problem

If the power supply on the motherboard is AT then you will not be able to getr the computer to power-off when you select shutdown. For this to work you need to have an ATX power supply.

The replies are right on. However, I'm trying to do the opposite. I want to be able to shutdown my ME system without it going past the "It is Safe to Shutdown Your Computer Screen". This way it stays on (but Windows is off) while I shut off the surge protector
