Hi!

Is there any way to turn off the system file checker feature in Windows 2000 + SP2? I'm trying to substitute explorer.exe (to change to 256 color systray) but Windows always restore the original file. In the same way, I can't delete such M$ crap as outlook or frontpage, because it restores the files too...

Any help plz? :[

I guess I take the easy route; I do it from Linux but it can be done from within Win2K. Here is a link to Virtual Plastic where there is an explaination of how it is done. <a target="_blank" href=http://www.virtualplastic.net/html/art_hack.html#6>http://www.virtualplastic.net/html/art_hack.html#6</a>

hi there.

try this little tweak which i found in the forums, this should then allow you to modify system files to your hearts content...
