Hi there folks,

Have your ever faced this problem? "Page cannot display" or DNS error whenever the page loads half page?

You can see the page loaded but slow in Netscape browser.

What do your think about it? Is there way to cook this?

Thanks

Here's one MS article:

<a target="_blank" href=http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;NL;q226550>Partial Web Page Is Displayed (Q226550)</a>

Also, take a look in C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files and see if you have something in there called Tracker Class.
If so, right click on it and click Remove.
This is a spyware hijack ActiveX program that hangs up looking for a server that's no longer in existence.

Also you might want to get <a target="_blank" href=http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm>BHODemon</a> and see if you've any "strange" Browser Helper Objects installed, and if so, remove them.

Also, repair Internet Explorer:

Control Panel &gt; Software add/remove &gt; MS INternet Explorer &gt; Remove &gt; Repair IE.

And here's a general article:

<a target="_blank" href=http://support.microsoft.com/directory/article.asp?ID=KB;EN-US;Q153790>How to Improve Browsing Performance in Internet Explorer</a>

First of all, the article described problem for IE 5.X but I am running IE 6 now, i dun think that is relevant right?

Secondly, I dun see the file under the Downloaded Program files directory yet so far.

Later, on the second replies abt improving the browsing performance, thats does not help as well.

The problem is, it always almost completed loading and displaying the page, then out of sudden it jumps to Page Cannot Display, if I clicked Previous, then most of the time it will reload the page and I am able to see it.

But definitely this is annoying right? Imagine if we have to click Previous for every single page?????

When you go back to previous and get the page, have a look at Forward to see what the Address is please. Is it always the same?

Do you have a HOSTS file? Do a find files to have a look.

Yes, the URL is the same. Yes, I have a HOST files, I might not be appropriate to add every single URL address into the HOST file for every site i visits right?

Thanks

What's the URL please? I am trying to determine if you are being redirected to a site which is listed in your Hosts file.

The URL is not a permanent address that I had on this trouble, it could be any address, sometimes did sometimes doesnt... even if I goto www.microsoft.com also has the same thing sometimes.

Thanks

What I wondered was whether the Forward was always the same. Not the address you are trying to reach. Your problem is unique.

As I said, it could be any address, there is not permanent address or some address does not always happends. There is no way I can guarantee that the occurance again at your side. It is meaningless that I give, moreover I did not record those address.

I was thinking would that be something to do with the bandwidth I had here on my company router? According to the network admin ppl, they say the bandwidth is always pushed to the top limit of the chart. But yet I could not believe the bandwidth would never go down, unless ppl went home after work.

Is there something I can do to grap higher bandwidth if my assumptions are correct?

Thanks

Have you tried running BHO-demon?

What does it turn up?

I think we are having a communication problem.

I had asked you whether the address to which you are being directed is always the same. Not the address you are trying to reach. The above quote was your response.

As Tony is trying to do, I am tryng to see if there is something installed on your comnputer which should not be.

If you don't want to work with us, we cannot help you. Have a nice weekend. Good luck.

Oops.. I am sorry that I misunderstand. Yes, let say I goto www.microsoft.com and when the page loaded half-way or almost finishing, then the Page Cannot Display appears with the same address on the address bar "www.microsoft.com", is that what you asked?

Thanks
