Lost file Associations (W2K)

I have a Win2k box that has lost it's file associations. I have checked for viruses, scripts, and the like. I have even reloaded the box and it still happens. Any thoughts.

In TweakUI on NT/9x you could choose to restore your file associations if there were lost.

Thanks that helps a little. What has been happening is that a user logs on to the machine and anything with an extension above .h?? will not have an association. These machines have been in production for a while and nothing has changed in regards to installed apps. Thanks
