I have a user who screwed-up his default action for objects in Win2k. Normal systems, you double click a directory in Windows Explorer and it opens it up in the same window. This guy's machine opens a seperate Windows Search Window (not IE) each time he double clicks?
Any ideas???
TIA,

Open windows explorer, click tools>view
scroll down till you see launch folder windows in a seperate process & uncheck it
That should be Tools>Folder Options>View

It's related to the contents in the Folder subkey.
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder]
