Black wallpaper after changing the wallpaper (WXP)

i changed my wallpaper after a while it changed to a black background.i checked up all the display setting and there were fine ...however when i went to the desktop section to choose my wallpaper there was enter which was highlighted which said MGXWP.i searched for this file and it was not there on my sys.i then did a scan for virus on my sys and there were no virus found.
What could this file be.Is it a virus???Please HELP!!!
