Over-Type Mode in OE (W98)

Hi All I have a problem when typing an email OE6.0 the trouble is while typing in mid sentence it will Over Type the original words just like the trick in MS Word. Its very annoying to say the least, it will even do it sometimes in IE while replying to Forum Arrgghhh!! I do have MS Word 2000 SR-1 but I never have that over type mode active. I've had this trouble for 6 months, can anyone please solve this problem! Win98SE
