"open with" (WME)

when I right click 'open with' so as to select the program to open with, it takes ages [about 5 or more minutes] to come up.
Any suggestions?

Do all other rightclick context menu options react normally?

McAfee VirusScan has been noted to cause a similar problem. Is that your antivirus?

It might also be a good idea to start up with a boot disk, and do a scanreg /fix in MS-DOS.
