Any time I click a link from my hotmail email inbox or my Outlook Express 6 inbox, the window will open but nothing comes up...Why?

chrisw9000,

Do you have Use Blank checked on the General tab of Internet Options?

chrisw9000,

Here is a link to an article called:

<font color=green><a target="_blank" href=http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers2.htm>IE6 Opens Blank (empty) Windows</a></font color=green>

You will have to scroll a bit more than halfway down the page to get to the article I'm refering to. It also has links to 2 MSKB articles.
Hope it helps.

Running regsvr32 Urlmon.dll usually fixes this in Windows XP.

Cheers, Tony

Tony,

Thank you for the abbreviated solution. It will save chrisw9000 lots of useless fiddling around. The fix you gave was mentioned in the link I supplied, but it was the 3rd or 4th idea suggested. Now she/he has the correct (and fastest) way to solve his problem plus I learned something new, too.

Thank you again,

Close Internet Explorer, and then go to Start &gt; Run.

Type regsvr32 Urlmon.dll , then press 'OK'.
You ought to get a notification that you've succeeded in registering the dll.
If you get anything else, please tell us.

You may not need to reboot, but do it anyway, and tell us whether your links will now open in new windows.

Good luck, Tony
