Hello All:

I am trying to install evb on my computer. I receive an error message that Windows 98 is installed and that Windows 98 Second Edition is required. Because of this message, I have installed Windows 98 SE full version (not the 98 SE upgrade) from the 98 environment. I still receive the same message when I try to install evb. I am not experienced in registry editing. My questions are:

1. Are there entries in the registry that identify what operating system is installed?
2. Are older registry entries replaced by new registry entries, or are entries just appended to the registry?
3. What information is available to obtain working knowledge about the registry (ie; definitions of entries, objectives of, basic registry operations)?
4. How do I correct multiple entries if multiple entries are suspect in the cause of the installation error message?

Thank you all

kind regards

Dennis
