When I connect to any of my ISP's, it connects fine until the Validating Username and Password comes up. It takes about 2 minutes before I can surf. Does anyone else have this problem, and is there an easy way to solve it?
Tom
I'd say the connection speed is just down to your ISP. If too many people try to connect at the same time your ISP might not be able to cope.

I agree with DanK,if you dialup at 'popular/peak' times then you will have trouble, however, you said "When I connect to any of my ISP's". Does this mean you have tried more than one?
How is you browsing speed after you have dialled up? Normal or slow? What driver do you have installed for your modem? If it is the standard modem driver then this might effect it, also what baud speed have you got set? If you have a high baud rate then this will be lowered to match the ISP, however, if you have a baud rate lower than the ISP's then your setting will stay the same and you will have a slow connection.

Double-Click My Computer, then Dial-Up Networking. Right-Click your connection and choose Properties.
Choose the Server Types tab. Make sure 'Log on to network' is NOT checked.
Repeat for each connection.
This should speed up connecting times in most cases.
Good luck,
