I have been reading your tips for restricting access to various windows features by editing the registry using RegEdit.
I notice that a large number (if not all) of them refer to keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\, etc.
Since I have user profiles enabled and wish to restrict the 2nd user of my PC (who is computer illiterate) am I right in thinking that I cannot do this while I am logged in as myself ?
Does this mean I have to temporarily allow the other user to run RegEdit, log in under his user name, apply the restrictions I want and then log in again as myself and re-apply the restriction to RegEdit ?
I am now using Win98 Second Edition.
When I was using Win95, I was able to achieve all the restrictions using Poledit, but under Win 98SE some of these no longer seem to be available; e.g. Documents Sub-folder and Settings on Start Menu
