When i shut down my f*cki'n ME the Blue Screen shows with the message: "Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer. System halted." And this happends very often. What to do?
WinME SUX!!!!!!!!!!!

Get rid of WME, it is not that good. Have you thought about WXP?

Yeah, I think about XP but it's hungry for resources :) Maybe another time...
I use NAV but i have disabled auto protect and the other bull****s.
In some another forum I have read that this problem may be caused from bad RAM chip... but mine are new.
grrrrr i get sick of ME

Blue Screens are hard to diagnose. What I ended up doing to correct my blue screen error is this. I Updated the Audio drive and the display drive from the Compaq web site. I also refreshed the usb drives and so for no blue screen at start up. Hope this helps
