i'm attempting to download a pk zipped html format file. when its done and i try to open it i get a "cannot find setup.exe " message box and cannot locate the file setup.exe

If the file is HTML format then there will not be a setup.exe to run.
Unzip the file to a folder and then doubleclick on the file with the .html extention.
It should open in Internet Explorer.

saving to a file does not work ,the same message could not locate/find setup.exe comes up.
and it says it has to present to zip files

How are you trying to unzip it. Are you using 'Winzip' or similar program? I have never had Winzip fail to unzip a file.

In Internet Explorer right click on the file you are wanting to download and select 'Save Target As'
You will be prompted for a download location. Select My Documents so you can find it easy after downloading. Take note of the entire file name from the download dialog box.
Then go to My Documents and note the file name extention. Is it .exe or .zip?
If you get the same message then I suspect your PC is infected with a virus.
