Since you can't move the speakers, please post what kind of speakers you have and where are they? If they 'built-in', you may have no choice other than rewiring them.

Certainly need more info. about the speakers and the reason they can't be reversed, since they are not built-in.

i was really just wanting to know if there was an easy way to change which side sound came out of [left sound from right speaker and vice-versa] this is because where they are positioned the cable is too short for them to be on the correct sides, if there is now way of just swapping the output i will rewire them.

I can't imagine why separate speakers couldn't be swapped, but I'll take your word for it.
You'll need to go to Radio Shack and get a couple adapters. Ideally one would be 1/8" stereo male plug-to-2 RCA male plugs and the other 1/8" stereo female plug-to-2 RCA female plugs. Then all you have to do is plug the male-male adapter to the sound card and the female-female adapter to the speaker patch cord, coupling the RCA's together and swapping them right to left whenever you want.
Radio Shack is moving toward consumer electronics these days, so the do-it-yourselfer parts are getting squeezed out and the salesmen (and all too frequently the Managers!) are just that: salesmen, with little to no technical knowledge, so you may have to scrounge and improvise the connections to get the connectivity you are looking for.

I just saw the other post. If it is just a matter of cable length, you can get a 1/8" stereo headphone extention for a couple dollars at Radio Shack.
