I am in the process of upgrading all my servers to WIN2K PRO. My clients are WIN98 with a couple of WIN2K in the mix. I am now having some networking problems. A lot of my clients are just dropping the printers. One minute they are gone, the next they are back. Also some clients are just dropping off of the network. The only thing I have changed on my network are the few machines I have already upgraded to WIN2K. I am a little nervous about upgrading the PDC until I have figured out these problems. Could this be a WINS Problem?

Any ideas???

Is it just the W2K machines loosing printers? Check what the IRP Stack Size is - should be set to at least 11. Try increasing the amount of virtual memory and have a look through the event log to see if there are any clues there. Has the Print Spooler or RPC service been failing recently?

Hope this helps...sorry my response is a little vague.
