almararn,

Maybe someone has downloaded this:

http://medialoads.com

You've been hearing about it. All your friends are talking about it. And now, finally, you too can get it.

It's MediaLoads Direct -- the internet application that brings rich media content to you, directly to your hard drive. Now you can get all the best movies, games and programs downloaded directly to your computer ... while you sleep! And the best part is ... it's absolutely, totally FREE!

Here's how it works:

First, you download the auto-installing MediaLoads Direct software. Then you choose as many channels you want to subscribe to. We've got it all: celebrities, bikinis, casino games, and more. And new channels are being added all the time.

Once you've subscribed to your favorite channels, just click on the MediaLoads Direct icon on your desktop and there it is: all the media content you can handle, delivered to your computer on a regular basis. Just like a magazine subscription. Any time new content is available, MediaLoads Direct will download it automatically as soon as you connect to the internet.

And the best part is, it's right there on your hard drive. That means you get the cleanest, clearest, fastest-playing clips possible. No more waiting for movies to download. No more buffering. No more choppy videos with lousy sound. Just a constant supply of the best movies and games that the internet has to offer.

So, what are you waiting for? <font color=red>WHAT A JOKE</font color=red>...my opinion.

I hope you can find the entry in Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and uninstall it.

I don't know whether it's one of the forms of spy/foistware already targeted by Ad-Aware, but here's an article:

the program (http://and.doxdesk.com/parasite/DownloadWare.html>http://and.doxdesk.com/parasite/DownloadWare.html</a>

[edit]Yep:) . It scans your system for spyware.

After installing AAW, and before running the program, also download the <a target="_blank" href=http://www.jamcomputerservices.com/lavasoft/refupdate.exe>Refupdate Utility</a>.
This utility searches for, downloads and automatically installs the latest AAW reffile (the spyware definitions, so to speak).

Run the refupdate.exe installation file, and once installed, go to Start Menu&gt;Programs, find the Lavasoft Refupdate entry and run it.
Click connect; it will open a connection to the internet to check and update the current signature file.

When that's completed, run Ad-Aware, have your drives and registry scanned for spyware, check all found files and reg keys, hit 'backup', then click continue, and have them all removed.

Reboot one last time.

NOTE: should you have Ad-Aware installed already, and it's a version prior to v 5.80, you MUST uninstall it first, before installing the new version.
