How can I check "OE e-mail" by just using "IE6", without any other programs running?

Hi.

How do you mean: "without any other programs running"?

IE can't check mail all by itself, as it isn't a email client; it does need to launch OE in order to to do that.

OE6 is part of IE6. Clicking on Tools, Mail and News, Read Mail merely opens OE. If you don't want to use OE, check the home page of your ISP [Internet Service Provider] , they may provide OnLine E-Mail service and you can check it without downloading messages to your computer, and you can do it from anywhere on a computer with Internet access.

What I meant by "without any other programs running"? is like a mail checker. I know that "Netscape" does check their mail (or use to) and "AOL" has a mail checker too. I wish IE would do the same thing. Thanks

You'll need a seperate program for that. Go here:

and type in notify email in the "Software Search" box.
