Being new to XP i am unsure as to the function of 'svchost.exe' and whether it is essential for internet browsing.
I have given it internet access permissions in my firewall but it is continually asking for server rights.
Should i grant or should i not? That is the question!!
Thnx in advance.
Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As a rule of thumb, don't allow any application to act as a server, unless you absolutely need it, and the program won't function otherwise,
