Any one can tell me about worm programmes,

What is worm?

From McAfee:

"Worms are parasitic computer programs that replicate, but unlike viruses, do not infect other computer program files.
Worms can create copies on the same computer, or can send the copies to other computers via a network."

The bottom line is, that despite the difference in terminology, a worm can wreak just as much havoc on your computer as a virus can.

Your antivirus program will protect you from worms as well as from viruses, providing it's reguarly being updated, of course.
