Anyone know how to clear the list when you go to start, run, browse, click for all files on arrow, then click the downward arrow for the file name box. That list is what I need to edit. Can it be done?
Thank you, in advance. Todd

I don't know if you can use this, but this is what I found on a Win2K machine. Seems like something that might be the same for other OS's.

All the list elements will not be in one place but you can find them somewhere under the key

HK_C_U\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\E xplorer\ComDlg32\OpenSaveMRU

I deleted some list elements from one of the subkeys under the key above and it did indeed delete them from the list you specified. But other names in the same list were scattered out among the various subkeys. The list elements are divided among the subkeys by file extention.

Todd,

There's a very easy way to clear the Run List you are refering to.

Right click on a blank area of the <font color=red>Taskbar</font color=red>.
Click on <font color=red>Properties</font color=red>.
Click on <font color=red>Advanced</font color=red>.
Click on <font color=red>Clear</font color=red>.
Click on <font color=red>Apply</font color=red>.
Click on <font color=red>OK</font color=red>.

This will clear:
1) the Run List you want cleared
2) recently accessed Documents
3) recently accessed Web Sites
4) recently accessed Programs

It may do more than you want, but it is an option that will clear the Run List easily.
