I am in need of some help. I did something to upset the balance of my computer and I am not sure what. I have a Smart And Friendly 8x40 cd burner and an Acer 56x speed CD-ROM drive that both worked perfectly up until today. I am running windows xp by the way.But for some reason both of them are not showing up in my computer as a drive, but they are listed in the device manager with a yellow exclamation. It says that the devices have been recognized but there is a problem in the registry. (code 19). The only thing that I remember doing before this happened was I uninstalled NERO Burning ROM and reinstalled it. Ohhh boy, if anyone can help me out it would be extremely appreciated.

Is there like a timeline in the registry so I could maybe turn back the settings to a few days ago? (or any feature like that)

thanks!

You can use the system restore feature in XP to revert back to a saved copy. To access it:

start > all programs > accesories > system tols > system restore.

Just choose a date prior to today.
