Okay, I'm not very experienced with dealing with Windows errors. When my computer gets into Windows an error message pops up saying - 'Windows could not access the registry. Windows will fix the registry and restart the computer'. So I click ok and then after about a minute the computer restarts. Then when it gets back to Windows, the error message pops up again. The only way I can get around it is by using Ctrl-Alt-Delete and closing the program. Please help me on how to sort this problem out.

Here's a MS article:

Err Msg: Windows Encountered an Error Accessing the System Registry

"SYMPTOMS
When you start your Windows 98-based computer, you may receive the following error message:

- Windows encountered an error accessing the system registry. Windows will restart and repair the system registry for you.

If you then click OK, you may receive the following error message:

- Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module Kernel32.dll at 015f:bff711be.

- This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shutdown.

Also, if you then click Details, you may receive one of the following error messages:

- Explorer caused an exception 6d007eh in module explorer.exe at 015f:<memory address>
-OR-
- Error loading Explorer.exe. You must reinstall Windows.
-OR-
- Visual C++ Runtime Library Error. Program C:\<%windir%>\Scanregw.exe, R6016, not enough space for thread data.
Note that this behavior may not occur in Safe Mode.

CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the disk that contains the Windows swap file does not have sufficient free disk space."

If this doesn't apply, try booting into pure MS-DOS and typing the command Scanreg /fix.
Your registry will be rebuilt, repairing some errors in the process.
All your settings will be retained.

If this keeps on happening, it may be defective RAM modules that are causing this
In that case, try checking them with Err Msg: Windows Encountered an Error Accessing the System Registry (http://www.simmtester.com/>DocMemory)
