For some unknown reason I am gettting random .dll and ipf errors. I having gotten everything from DirectCD ipf to kernel32.dll. I have also gotten errors when I start up my pc saying there is a system.ini that is damaged, one time it was NTKERN and another time it was the SHELL file. I have already tried formatting re-installing windows and restting the registry. I also ran Norton on my comp and it didn't detect any viruses, but I'm not so sure... Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Noxxid,

Here's a start:

Invalid Page Fault in Kernel32.dll Errors:
If you frequently receive Invalid Page Fault in Kernel32.dll Errors, from different drivers (Explorer, Guide.exe, Msgsrv32, Commgr32, Mprexe and others), it is possible that your password list file is damaged. Try re-creating your password list file:

Go to Start>Find>Files or Folders and click the browse button and select c:\windows. Then type *.pwl and click Find Now.
When a list of found files is displayed, delete them all.

Go to Start>Run, and type:
notepad c:\windows\system.ini. Delete all lines under
[Password Lists]

Close the Find window and restart Windows.
Note: you will lose any passwords you have stored, so make sure that you have the passwords written down so you can re-enter them when needed.

Im doubting you have a virus too. For a start you are using windows ME. HMMM the problem could be that. Windows Me is the worst operating system in the world. Give me a choice between ME and Windows 3.11 I'll take WIndows 3.11 I think even reghakr will agree with me on that one!!!! I had windows ME for six months fine fine one day, the next day BAD BAD BAAAAAD. Its buggy and rubbish. Get rid sharpish and install 98 or XP both better than ME. Even XP would you belive. XP at least was based on a good solid OS (WIndows 2000)

I know this is no solution but im trying to get my post count up and its good advise from a first hand technical user. (Windows ME came with my pc no choice of my own i could only get it at the time. OK i'm making excuses i know)

Tell your users 90% of all computer problems can be fixed with a simple re-boot... Or just a large boot.
