I'm using a shell replacement and would like to add my 'Recent Files' folder to the 'My Computer' list ... just like how the 'my documents' folder is present in the list.
How would i go about doing this? ... i've searched winguides for information on adding folders to the my computer list but basically i wasn't able to find information that would help me with this particular task.
Any help, much appreciated.

oops, where i said "my documents" i meant Control Panel Folders and Printer Folders ... (or like the scheduled tasks folder, tho' i removed that).

okay, i'm almost there ... using the instructions from winguides ( http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/73/ )
I'm stuck as to how to make it an actual folder that i can see all the recent files listed in.. Hope somebody has the time to give me a few hints about this :)

The short of it is you can't. You can create a new Folder. But it will not be the shell folder "Recent". If recent had a CLSID of its own, you would be set. Like Control Panel and DUN which have folders in My Computer.
However, you can create a New Folder in My Computer using the method listed in the link and then open that new Folder. Create a shortcut to Recent inside it.
