Ever since i installed windows 2000 (ad. server)Service Pack 2, i have been getting "File protection Error"from windows.
I did most of the steps mentioned in
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/790/
IAM NOT ABLE TO OVERWRITE SFC.DLL
WITH COPY *** /Y ALSO IT DOESNT WORK, GIVES ME MESSAGE "FILE IN USE bla bla..."

1. I successfully changed the value of SFCDisable = 2 DIDNT WORK
2. Prior to this I had tried SFCDisable = ffffff9d DIDNT WORK
Both the instance i did reboot and first thing i try after is to overwrite SFC.DLL BUT it just doesnt allow me to do so.
Gives me error "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. 0 files copied."
Guys Please Bail me out of this !
Once Iam done with this I need to resolve my Visual studio.net issue which was working fine before installing Win 2000 service pack 2

they changed everything in sp2 they b*st*rds

this is a forum talking about changing the windows 2000 boot logo and to that you need to disable the file protection and they and have talked about pre sp2 and post sp2
