Hello,
We're testing a new installation program for WinGuides Tweak Manager and would like to make sure it's compatible with most systems before releasing it.
If would be great if you could test it to make sure it installs correctly on your system. The package includes version 1.02 of WTM so if you have an earlier version please uninstall it first.
The advantages of the new installer are smaller size, quicker installation and hopefully resolve some installation issues on a minor number of systems!
The file can be downloaded from http://www.winguides.com/ (http://www.winguides.com/downloads/wtmpack.exe>here</a>.
Thank-you,
Simon)

Hi Simon,
Tester Report
I just tested out on Win 98 First Edition Upgrade.
No problems at all.
It's all positive
* Downloaded faster from the net than the other installer.
* Installed much quicker than the other one
* Nice option to add to the quick launch bar (which I did).
* The size is now under 1.44 (fits on a floppy to be ported to stand alone machines with no Internet/Network connection).
* All tweaks intergrated are relevant only to 98
Green light over here.

Simon,
I downloaded it and installed it in Windows 2000 with SP2 and it installed with no problems.
I also installed it on Windows XP pro directly from the web link i.e. selecting open at the prompt rather than downloading the exe and it installed again with no problems.
I noticed that the tweaks were different for each OS so I'm assuming that it identified the OS and installed only the required tweaks.
Cheers
Andy

I was about to try it on Win98SE machine but in reading the license agreement it led me to believe that since I am not a paid subscriber that I should not install it.

Thanks, you do not need to be a premium subscriber for this version as it is only the evaluation version.
The username and password are only required when accessing the Live Update features.
