1. Norton is good.

2. McAfee is another popular choice

3. Kaspersky

Price depends where you Live, the US tends to be cheaper than Europe. I would recommend a firewall (some of the links above are for this).
Hope this helps...

Mikeshn:
If you're always having trouble with viruses, you might start rethinking your computing habits. It's not normal to have this happen.
Do you keep your anti-virus up-to-date and running in the background? Are you careful about opening messages with attachments? Are the latest security patches and updates installed?

In my experience ETrust Antivirus (InnoculateIT 6.0 Engine) is the Best!
It finds virii and trojans that McAfee and others pass over.

Norton Antivirus is excellent, the interface is intuitive, and updates are frequent.

norton 2002 is good the reson u have to reinstall is because the files for the software to work may be hidden. especially on an nt/2000 system.
i recommend corporate 7.6
it can be expensive but it is really good if not 2002

Dont forget a Trojan Finder... Norton AV-2003 has worm killer, but not a trojan killer.
The original question was asked last June. I'm fairly sure Mike has solved his virus problems by now. Either that, or he's given up computing in disgust!
