RECYCLE BIN !!!!! (W98)

hi everyone ...

well I dunno what has happened but all of a sudden my recycle bin has disappeared from the desktop and it has never happened before ... no I have not installed any desktop software to hide icons or something ... it just disappeared ... I dunno what has happened ... can anyone tell me how to bring it back? or how to restore it cause the entry is still there in the registry ... thanx

Exactly Where in the registry? Post back with the registry contents so that we can view them.

when I checked it the value was 70 01 00 20
than I changed it into default that is 40 01 00 20 ... thinking it may change something ... but that didn't work ...

Try adding this to the registry:

open Notepad and copy and paste the following between the lines and save the file as recyclebinfix.reg. Double-click on the file to merge the contents into the registry.

Click on an empty area of the desktop and hit the F5 key, or shutdown and restart.
