webcam not working (WXP)

just tried installing it on xp.. like 5 times..

its an aiptek VGA pencam II.. when i plug the thing connected to the comp into the cam, the cam shuts down.. looks like the software installed itself properly though..

troubleshooter just says to uninstall and install again..

any ideas?

That sounds like the driver problem, did you check if your web cam has xp driver?
