There is no way to put a password on a folder manually, though you can use Folder Guard:- http://www.winability.com/download/fgstd.exe Cheers

You know what freeware's like. I'm afraid I can't help you with the banner. The only thing you could do is edit the program using ResHacker:- http://recesja.icm.edu.pl/ftp/tools/ResHack.zip. Post in this thread if you need any help with it. Cheers

*Note You will need WinZip for ResHacker to install correctly.

This is where you are going to have to search for the irritating banner. Look in dialog under every sub - heading. If you can't find it then look in any .dlls that came with the program.
Sorry but I can't be any more specific. If you do find the banner delete it, Compile Script and then go to save as.. and just save over it by going to the same directory you opened and replacing the file.

If you're running XP Pro you don't need a 3rd party utility.
Login as Admin
Right click on the folder that needs protecting
select proterties
security tab
remove the everyone group from the folder.
make sure the admin is the only one with permissions to access the folder (give yourself full control)

Thanks Mark! I've used folder guard lite a couple of years ago. It really is an excellent program to work with. Wish I coded it :)
