password saving problem (WXP)

Running windows XP Pro, and every time i go to log into windows messenger i have to type my hotmail address, and my password again, i know its more secure this way, but this is my home computer and its really beginning to p*ss me off. Any ideas anyone??

Do you use windows logon? If you do, do you press escape or X on the dialog box? This could be the reason as a default user cannot save any *.pwl files (password files, which store most windows passwords). The resolution to this problem would be to create a username, though I am not completely sure this is the reason because messenger may not store passwords in *.pwl format. Good luck
