This is really weird, anyone could help will be greatly appreciated.

Previsouly, I had two os installed. First, I installed NT4,0, then I installed Linux. They are in two different partitions. Now the problem is
I used fdisk, delpart.exe, NT format disk. I almost use every single way to format my drive, delete the partition. But still, when I boot it up, it still says LiLo Boot.... and it is booting every time no matter what os I installed in. How do I get rid of the boot loader??? I thought delpart would finally delete the partition, but the LILO boot still haunt my drive.

Please help...

I'd try booting to a Win98 floppy, type fdisk and delete any partitions [particularly non-DOS], losing all data in the process. And I'd also try fdisk /mbr to rebuild the Master Boot Record, sometimes have to do it twice, rebooting each time.

fidsk /mbdr is not an option for win98se when I booted it up, only /x and /status. Anyway, thanks for your advice. I ended up do the delete partition and create partition and format my c driver /s with systems transfer and that lilo boot is gone. I guess it stays in the memory somewhere. Fortunately, that is my old and test pc.

As far as I know, all the fdisk commands have the /mbr built in, at least in all I have used since MS-DOS 5.0. Strange yours didn't work.

It just came to me, /mbr is an undocumented [in the MS-DOS Help file] switch.
