My father in law keeps getting a message that says... Rnaapp has caused an error in windows and this program must be shut down... Or something to that affect. When checking the details it lists that Wininet.dll is where the problem was caused. We have uninstalled and reinstalled Explorer and Outlook Express..... What's going on and how can we stop it?

There is a virus called WORM_BADTRANS_B that caused this problem. Have you tried a virus scan?

If it is not a virus then other users have fixed the problem by uninstalling and re-installing dial up networking.

Cheers

Try a search for wininet.dll. If you have two or more of them, you need to select the newest version and place it in the c:\windows\system directory.

If you need help replacing it in DOS, post back.
