Virus Scan Error message (W98)

After uninstalling McAfee Virus Protection, I installed Norton AntiVirus 2002. Now, when I start up "or restart", I get the error message: The specified resource language ID cannot be found in the image file. Virus Scan: AVSMCPA. dll, C:\Windows\system\Res 0901\AVSMCPA dll:,
C:\Windows\system\Res 0900\AVSMCPA dll:,
C:\Windows\system\Res 09\AVSMCPA dll:,
C:\Windows\system\Res 0000\AVSMCPA dll:,
C:\Windows\system\Res 00\AVSMCPA dll:,
I thought it might be that something in Norton "did not" install properly, so I unistalled it, and reinstalled it.... this did not solve the problem.

Do you have AVSMCPA.dll on your system?

If not re-install Macafee and copy the dll from the system32 directory. Uninstall Macafee and then copy the dll file back to the system32 directory.

This has worked for others
