I opened a list of active processes using TCActive and it list hpzstatx.exe. i dont know what this file is but it's description is "DJStatus Server Module" any ideas what this is? what has me worried is that it is described as a server program and is only 157KB which made me think it might be a trojan. it wasnt picked up by my virus program though, but i just wanted to make sure it was safe. any info appreciated

Hi,
If you look in properties for that file under company, you'll see that's a Hewlett Packard file. You must have an HP, too? That's how I know....:)

It is a status monitor for HP printers. I take it the DJ in DJStatus stands for desk jet.

Bigdawg, from what I have learned about this particular file is that it's basically useless and uses up alot of system resources. I took it out after backing it up on a floppy just in case. There is some info if you type hpzstatx.exe into Google search. Or checkout this link-
